Medical & Healthcare Cleaning

Where Clean Means More.

Cleaning With a Different Standard.

A reception desk and a treatment room are not the same environment.

Neither should they be cleaned as though they are.

Healthcare premises require a considered approach to cleaning: understanding how different areas are used, identifying higher-risk and frequently touched surfaces, preventing cross-contamination and ensuring the correct products and procedures are used for the task.

Before we begin, we establish the requirements of your premises and agree a cleaning specification appropriate to the environment.

Then we make sure our team knows it.

Commercial – Medical & Healthcare Cleaning

Medical Environments We Can Support

Subject to the requirements and risk profile of the individual premises, our healthcare cleaning services can support environments such as:

GP and primary care premises
Dental practices
Physiotherapy clinics
Chiropractic and osteopathy practices
Private consulting rooms
Therapy and counselling centres
Outpatient and community facilities
Occupational health premises
Aesthetic and wellness clinics
Veterinary practices
Other suitable healthcare environments

Every site is assessed individually.

If an environment or task requires specialist clinical decontamination outside our competence or service scope, we’ll say so.

Knowing what not to do is part of doing things properly.

Different Areas. Different Requirements.

Clinical & Treatment Areas

Treatment and clinical spaces require particular attention to surfaces, touchpoints, equipment boundaries and cross-contamination controls.

We agree what falls within the cleaning team’s responsibility, which products and procedures apply, and anything that must only be handled by clinical staff.

There should be no ambiguity about who cleans what.

Waiting & Reception Areas

High footfall and frequent contact make waiting rooms and reception areas an important part of the cleaning programme.

Seating, floors, counters, doors, handles and other agreed touchpoints can be incorporated according to the needs of the premises.

These are also the first spaces your patients see.

They should inspire confidence before an appointment begins.

Consultation Rooms

Consultation rooms can be cleaned according to an agreed routine covering floors, accessible surfaces, furniture and relevant touchpoints.

Any clinical equipment, patient records or specialist items requiring separate handling can be clearly excluded or managed according to the site’s procedures.

Washrooms

Washrooms are cleaned and sanitised according to the agreed specification, with particular attention to toilets, basins, fittings, touchpoints and floors.

Where included in the contract, we can also monitor and replenish agreed washroom consumables.

Staff & Administrative Areas

Healthcare workers deserve a clean workplace too.

Offices, kitchens, break rooms, corridors and other non-clinical areas can be incorporated into the same managed service, with cleaning frequencies appropriate to how each area is used.

Infection Prevention Starts With Process.

Good infection-prevention cleaning isn’t achieved by simply using stronger chemicals.

It depends on how cleaning is carried out.

That means working systematically, using appropriate products and contact times, controlling equipment, paying attention to hand-contact surfaces and preventing contamination being transferred from one area to another.

Our site procedures and cleaning specification establish how the work should be carried out before the cleaner begins.

Consistency isn’t just desirable here. It’s fundamental.

Preventing Cross-Contamination.

The cloth used in one area shouldn’t simply continue its journey around the building.

Equipment and materials can be segregated according to area and task, with appropriate colour-coding and working methods incorporated into the site cleaning plan.

Clean-to-dirty working principles and defined cleaning sequences help reduce the risk of contaminants simply being moved from one surface to another.

Because moving dirt around isn’t cleaning.

High-Touch Means High Attention.

Some surfaces are touched dozens or hundreds of times a day.

Door handles. Push plates. Taps. Switches. Reception counters. Handrails. Shared touchpoints.

Where appropriate to the site, these areas can receive increased attention within the cleaning specification.

The frequency should reflect how the building is actually used.

Not simply how often a checklist says somebody should visit it.

The Right Product. Used the Right Way.

Disinfectant isn’t magic.

Products need to be appropriate for the intended purpose, prepared and applied correctly, and given the required contact time to work effectively.

Our cleaning products are selected according to the task and environment, with relevant COSHH information and procedures available to the people using them.

Where your organisation specifies particular products or disinfectant standards, we’ll establish those requirements during mobilisation.

Trained People. Clear Boundaries.

Healthcare cleaners need to understand more than how to make a room look presentable.

They need to understand the procedures relevant to their work, why those procedures matter and where the boundaries of their role lie.

Our teams are trained for the services they’re expected to perform and given site-specific instructions where required.

If something falls outside their training or agreed scope:

They stop and escalate. They don’t improvise.

Clinical Waste Isn’t General Waste.

Healthcare premises can produce several different waste streams, and they aren’t interchangeable.

General waste, recycling and other agreed non-clinical waste can be managed within the cleaning specification where appropriate.

Clinical, infectious, pharmaceutical, sharps or other controlled waste requires the correct segregation, storage and disposal arrangements.

We’ll establish exactly what our team is—and is not—responsible for before the contract begins.

No guessing.

No grey areas.

An Auditable Cleaning Service.

When cleaning matters operationally, being able to demonstrate that it happened matters too.

Depending on the requirements of your contract, cleaning schedules and completion records can form part of the service, providing clearer oversight of what has been completed and when.

Where issues are identified, they can be reported rather than simply left for somebody else to discover.

If it matters, it should be accountable.

The Same People. Proper Cover.

Familiarity is particularly valuable in healthcare environments.

Wherever possible, we assign regular team members who become familiar with the premises, access procedures, cleaning specification and site requirements.

But continuity shouldn’t mean dependence on one individual.

If a regular cleaner is unavailable, Kelly Bennett manages the cover and ensures the replacement has the information required to work on the site.

Familiar people on site. A managed team behind them.

Security & Confidentiality.

Our cleaners may work around consulting rooms, offices and other areas containing confidential information.

We understand the importance of discretion, access control and respecting the boundaries of the environment we’re working in.

Keys, alarm procedures and access arrangements are agreed during mobilisation, and site-specific security requirements can be incorporated where necessary.

Documents, records and clinical materials are not simply moved because they’re inconveniently positioned.

If we’re unsure:

We leave it alone and ask.

Professionally Managed From Day One.

Taking on a healthcare site requires more than sending somebody with cleaning equipment.

Before the service begins, we can establish:

The cleaning specification
Cleaning frequencies
Site-specific procedures
Higher-risk areas and touchpoints
Product requirements
Equipment arrangements
Waste responsibilities
Access and security procedures
Reporting arrangements
Quality-control requirements
Periodic and deep-cleaning needs

Everyone should know what’s expected before the first clean begins.

Quality That Doesn’t Depend on Complaints.

A patient shouldn’t have to notice something before the cleaning contractor does.

Kelly Bennett’s managed approach allows standards to be monitored, issues identified and corrective action taken where required.

Your point of contact has somebody at Kelly Bennett responsible for the service rather than having to manage individual cleaners directly.

Cleaning should be controlled, not reactive.

Periodic & Additional Cleaning

Alongside routine cleaning, healthcare premises can require periodic work that doesn’t belong on the everyday schedule.

Depending on the environment and agreed scope, this may include:

Detailed deep cleaning
Carpet and upholstery cleaning
Internal glazing
Periodic floor cleaning
Washroom deep cleaning
High and low-level cleaning
Additional touchpoint cleaning
Short-notice cleaning support
Other agreed non-specialist cleaning

Where a task requires specialist infection-control or decontamination procedures beyond our scope, we’ll identify that before accepting the work.

Changing Cleaning Contractor?

A healthcare cleaning contract needs a controlled handover.

We’ll assess the premises, understand your current arrangements, review the cleaning requirements and establish the procedures needed before an agreed start date.

If you’re changing because something isn’t working, tell us.

Missed cleans. Poor communication. Inconsistent standards. Lack of cover. No supervision.

Those aren’t simply complaints.

They’re requirements for the replacement service.

How Much Does Medical Cleaning Cost?

We don’t quote healthcare cleaning from square footage alone.

The nature of the premises, number and type of rooms, patient traffic, required frequencies, operating hours, products, procedures and level of oversight all influence the service required.

We’ll begin with a site assessment.

From there, we’ll develop the cleaning specification and provide a clear commercial proposal covering the scope, schedule and price.

First understand the environment. Then price the service.

Clean You Can Have Confidence In.

Patients may never know who cleaned the room.

They shouldn’t need to.

They should simply enter an environment that feels cared for, professional and ready for them.

Behind that apparent simplicity should be trained people, defined procedures, appropriate products, good management and a cleaning company taking responsibility for the result.
