School & Education Cleaning
Ready for Tomorrow.
A school gets used properly.
Hundreds of pupils. Classrooms changing throughout the day. Busy corridors. Lunches. PE. Art. Muddy shoes. Handprints in places nobody remembers touching. Then everyone goes home. By tomorrow morning, it needs to be ready to do it all again.
Kelly Bennett provides professionally managed cleaning for schools and education settings across Bristol, with reliable teams, proper cover and cleaning programmes built around the way your site actually operates.
They make the mess. We’ll make it ready again.
A School Isn’t Just Another Building.
Cleaning an education setting brings its own responsibilities.
There are children and young people on site. Access and security matter. Different areas require different approaches. Cleaning often needs to happen within relatively narrow windows before or after the school day.
And when a cleaner is absent, the classrooms still need cleaning.
That’s why we don’t simply provide cleaning hours.
We build a managed service around your premises, timetable, safeguarding requirements and cleaning specification.
The school manages the school. We manage the cleaning.
Cleaning Built Around the School Day.
Before pupils arrive.
After they leave.
During the day where appropriate.
School cleaning has to fit around teaching rather than getting in its way.
We’ll establish how your site operates, when different areas become available and which work can sensibly happen at different points in the day.
For larger sites, that may combine routine morning or evening cleaning with daytime support for washrooms, communal areas and unexpected incidents.
The timetable belongs to you.
Our job is to work around it.
What We Look After

Classrooms
Desks and accessible surfaces, floors, sinks where applicable, touchpoints and other agreed areas cleaned according to the site specification.
We work carefully around teaching materials, displays, equipment and pupils’ belongings.
A classroom should look ready for the next lesson.
Not as though the cleaner has rearranged it.

Washrooms & Changing Facilities
School washrooms work hard.
Toilets, basins, fittings, touchpoints and floors can be cleaned and sanitised at frequencies appropriate to the site, with consumables checked and replenished where included in the contract.
For higher-traffic facilities, daytime checks can form part of the cleaning programme where required.
Clean at 7am isn’t necessarily clean at 2pm.

Corridors & Communal Areas
Corridors, stairs, entrances and circulation areas see some of the highest footfall in the building.
Cleaning frequencies can be planned around actual traffic, flooring and seasonal requirements rather than treating every part of the school identically.
Because a wet Tuesday in November has rather different ideas about your entrance floor than a Friday in June.

Staff Rooms & Offices
Staff rooms, administrative offices, reception areas and other working spaces can all be incorporated into the same cleaning programme.
Kitchens and breakout facilities can be maintained according to an agreed routine, while offices are cleaned with appropriate care around documents and equipment.

Halls & Shared Spaces
Assembly halls, dining areas, libraries, common rooms and other multipurpose spaces can change use several times in one day.
We’ll establish how these areas need to be left and build their cleaning around the school’s timetable.
Additional cleaning for events, parents’ evenings, performances and other activities can also be arranged.

Specialist Teaching Areas
Science rooms, food technology areas, art rooms, workshops, IT suites and other specialist spaces may have additional requirements.
We’ll agree exactly what our cleaning teams are responsible for and identify equipment, materials or areas that must only be handled by school staff or appropriately trained personnel.
Clear boundaries prevent expensive mistakes.
Safeguarding Comes First.
Anyone working in a school environment needs to understand that it isn’t an ordinary workplace.
We work with schools to establish the safeguarding, access and vetting requirements applicable to the contract, including appropriate DBS arrangements where required for the role and working circumstances.
Site rules are communicated to the cleaning team and access is managed according to the agreed procedures.
If there are areas cleaners shouldn’t enter, times they shouldn’t be present or procedures they need to follow:
We establish that before they start.
Safeguarding isn’t something to work out on the first shift.

Familiar People. Proper Cover.
Schools benefit from regular cleaners who know the site.
They learn the classrooms. They know the alarm procedure. They understand which areas need particular attention and where everything belongs.
So wherever possible, we maintain a consistent team.
But a consistent team shouldn’t mean a fragile service.
People take holidays. People get ill.
Kelly Bennett manages recruitment, scheduling and cover so an absence on our side doesn’t simply become an unfinished school on yours.
Continuity where possible. Cover when necessary.

The Cleaner Isn’t Another Member of Your Staff to Manage.
Recruitment. Training. Rotas. Holiday. Sickness. Cover. Products. Equipment. Performance.
Those belong on our side of the contract.
You’ll have an agreed cleaning specification and a point of contact responsible for making sure it’s delivered.
Your site team shouldn’t have to spend Monday morning ringing around because two cleaners haven’t appeared.
That’s why you hired a cleaning company.

Clean Isn’t Just What You Can See.
Schools bring large numbers of people together in shared spaces every day.
That makes good cleaning practices particularly important.
Our cleaning programmes can incorporate appropriate attention to frequently touched surfaces, washrooms, shared spaces and other areas according to the needs of the site.
Teams work systematically, using appropriate products and methods designed to reduce cross-contamination between areas.
The objective isn’t to move dirt around the building more evenly.
The Right Product in the Right Place.
Schools contain a surprisingly broad range of surfaces.
Desks. Flooring. Stainless steel. Painted finishes. Glass. Sanitary fittings. Specialist classroom materials.
Cleaning products are selected and used appropriately for the task, with relevant COSHH information and working procedures available to the people using them.
Where a school has particular product restrictions or requirements, these can be established as part of mobilisation.
Strongest isn’t the same as best.
Appropriate is better.
During Cold & Flu Season.
Some weeks are harder on a school than others.
Where additional cleaning is required, the cleaning programme can be adjusted to give greater attention to agreed high-contact areas or provide additional support according to the circumstances.
If your school has its own infection-control procedures or specific requirements, we’ll incorporate the relevant cleaning responsibilities into the site plan where appropriate.
The important part is having a service that can respond when the building needs more than it usually does.
The Holiday Is Our Opportunity.
An empty school is a useful thing.
Without hundreds of pupils and staff moving through the building, school holidays provide an opportunity to tackle the work that isn’t practical during an ordinary cleaning shift.
We can build planned holiday and periodic cleaning into the annual programme.
That can include:
Term time maintains it. Holidays let us get properly into it.
Summer Deep Cleaning.
Six weeks.
An empty building.
And an opportunity to reset the school before September.
We can plan larger summer cleaning programmes in advance, working through classrooms, communal areas and agreed specialist spaces while the building is quieter.
For larger schools and multi-site organisations, work can be phased around maintenance, decorating, building works and staff access.
When everyone returns:
The building should feel ready for a new year.
Consumables Managed Too.
Toilet tissue, hand soap, paper products, bin liners and other everyday consumables can be incorporated into the service where required.
We’ll agree which supplies Kelly Bennett is responsible for, how stock is managed and where it’s stored.
That way, somebody noticing the last toilet roll doesn’t become the procurement process.
Cleaning the washroom is only half the job if nobody can use it afterwards.
We Notice Things.
Cleaners see a lot of the building.
A leaking tap.
A damaged toilet seat.
A loose fitting.
A failed light.
A suspicious patch of water.
Something that wasn’t broken yesterday.
Where appropriate, issues noticed during cleaning can be reported to the nominated contact so they can be dealt with.
We’re not replacing your caretaker or premises team.
We’re another pair of eyes in the building.
Quality You Don’t Have to Chase.
The cleaning contract shouldn’t be managed through complaints.
Kelly Bennett’s managed approach allows the service to be monitored, standards checked and problems addressed when they arise.
Depending on the requirements of the contract, cleaning schedules, completion records and quality checks can form part of the service.
If something isn’t meeting the agreed standard, there should be a clear route to put it right.
Accountability is part of the clean.
Nurseries, Colleges & Other Education Settings.
The same principles extend beyond schools.
Subject to the requirements of the individual site, Kelly Bennett can provide cleaning services for:
Every environment is different.
We’ll assess the site and its requirements before proposing the service.
Changing Cleaning Contractor?
Changing contractor shouldn’t mean several weeks of chaos while the new company works out where everything is.
Before taking over, we’ll assess the site, understand the existing arrangements, establish the cleaning specification and plan the mobilisation.
That includes staffing, access, products, equipment, schedules, safeguarding requirements and any periodic work.
If you’re changing because the existing service has problems, tell us exactly what they are.
Poor cover.
Inconsistent cleaning.
Constant staff changes.
Weak supervision.
Poor communication.
Those become design requirements for the new service.
How Much Does School Cleaning Cost?
School cleaning needs to be designed around the site.
Floor area matters, but so do pupil numbers, building layout, washrooms, specialist areas, operating hours, required frequencies, holiday cleaning and the level of daytime support required.
We’ll visit the school, understand how the building operates and develop an appropriate cleaning specification.
Then we’ll provide a clear proposal covering the service, schedule and price.
Understand the school first. Price the cleaning second.
[Arrange a Site Visit]
Empty Tonight. Ready Tomorrow.
The last lesson finishes.
The corridors empty.
The doors close.
Then our work starts.
Classrooms reset. Washrooms cleaned. Floors dealt with. Communal areas ready. Supplies checked. Problems reported.
And tomorrow morning, hundreds of people come back through the doors.
The building is ready for them.
Kelly Bennett School & Education Cleaning.
Ready for Tomorrow.
